Gaston County Museum of Art & History

The Gaston County Museum of Art & History is a non-profit museum housed in the historic 1852 Hoffman Hotel on the court square in Dallas, NC. The Museum is home to the permanent Carolinas Textile Exhibit, and features rotating art and history exhibits from the Museum's collection of more than 83,000 art and historic object artifacts. In addition, the Museum presents a variety of special events and programs for the community at the Museum, and travels to area schools and organizations to present programs of interest to specific groups.

The Museum also has the largest collection of privately owned horse-drawn carriages and vehicles in the state, all housed in the Daniel Stowe Carriage House, and has a satellite facility at the historic Loray Mill.

The Museum is free and open to the public.
