Symposium Virtual Workshop - The Beauty of Bulbs

Elizabeth Lawrence celebrated The Little Bulbs in her book published in 1961. Her neighbor, Elizabeth Clarkson, would serve tea in her China tea cups while watching the birds at her feeders or feeding them directly from her hand.

In this informative virtual workshop, author Marta McDowell will teach you about the botany and horticulture of some of Lawrence’s favorite diminutive blooms. Participants will then plant a selection for forcing in a teacup reminiscent of Clarkson’s china.

You will create one planted tea cup of pink crocus (Crocus tommasinianus 'Roseus') and two additional planted pots, one of grape hyacinth (Muscari armeniacum) and one of miniature daffodils (Narcissus 'Tête à Tête').

All supplies included and available for pick up prior to the workshop; non-local guests will be mailed the supplies.
