Ivory Baker Robot Demonstration

Come see robot demonstrations from current QCRA robotics teams and experience what it's like to drive one yourself! Meet middle and high school students and find out what excites them about building robots.

What to expect at this event?

• Robot demonstrations by FIRST teams
• Test-drive a robot for yourself
• Learn how you can join an engaging and inspiring robotics team

What do we do?

We do more than just build robots! The build team is supported by other team members performing all sorts of activities that makes the team run like a business. Students learn critical business skills like problem solving, communication and teamwork.

Looking for a rewarding Mentor or Volunteer experience?

Each robotics team needs people like you to share your experience and expertise as mentors and volunteers. All skill sets welcome. Needs include technical and business skills.

Who is this program for?

This program is for all middle and high school students and their parents interested in being a part of a team that builds competition robots. Beginners welcome! No experience in robotics or coding is necessary.

The event is sponsored by Culture Blocks— a community partnership between ASC, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experiences closer to where residents live. Culture Blocks is funded by Mecklenburg County.
